Pausing regular queues

When the holiday seasons come up I want to be able to have the option to pause regular queues with content and only allow scheduled posts for the holiday to go out. It would be ideal if I could go in and pause and unpause individual queues.

This is a deal breaker for me. We have date-sensitive content we want to run on certain days, and the queue content is NOT in alignment with the theme for those days. Surely there's a workaround?

I see this feature as more of a "Don't Post Calendar" where you can pause your queue for certain days of the year. The holidays are a perfecte example, also days where you have a ton of scheduled posts. Could be a feature of the calendar where you add a "Queue Block" to that day and it knows to only post schedule posts and not queue items.

CoSchedule has a ReQueue option that is not dissimilar to Sendible's queues. For holidays/special event posts (or any regular day, really!) if you schedule a post for the same time that a queued post is intended to go out, the queue skips and does not post for that day. This would be a great feature to eliminate too many posts going out when you want to highlight key moments for clients!
