Remove/delete Notifications from the Notifications list

When I receive notifications on the top-left corner of the dashboard, I address them one by one, however, I believe it would be easier and less confusing, if I were given the ability to remove them, apart from marking them as read as well.

For example, I have one notification which is always visible in my notifications list which is regarding the time-zone (see attached image).

This notification is not removed even after I have clicked on it and accepted any changes I chose to make to my timezone, and I was just informed that this was because notifications don't disappear after addressing/clicking them. This will quite possibly confuse my clients in the future, even though I can inform them that notifications don't disappear, and that they only receive new notifications when there's a red number indicating there's a new notification they need to see.
